Urnes Stave Church
The oldest stave church in Norway, and the only stave church which is included on UNESCO's World Heritage List. In the old days Kroken farm had their own special seats in Urnes Stave Church.

Feigumfossen
With 218 meters free-fall is Feigumfossen one of the highest waterfalls in Scandinavia. Marked trail from the road. About 1 / 2 hour walk up to the viewpoint.

 

The Munthe House
The Munthe House is plased on the Kroken farm and was formerly the main house on the farm. The old restored mansion is now transfered to the foundation Munthehuset.

The Sognefjell Road and The Jotunheimen National Park

Route 55 across The Sognefjell is a mountain area between Luster and Lom and is the highest and most impressive mountain pass in Northern Europe. It has been awarded the status of National Tourist Route, and the highest point is 1434 meters.

Walking in Kroken
Light strolls or more demanding hikes in a beautiful cultural landscape in the area surrounding Kroken farm. From the farm the path goes to Vassløysa (320 masl.), About 1 hour there and back. Nice view of the Sognefjord from the path. The path continues to the mountain farm Sippelhaug (900 masl.), Or one can cross the river and go back on the other side of the valley Krokadalen.

 

Bicycle rental

We hire out bicycles to our guests. Take fine bike trips along the Sognefjord, for example to Urnes Stave Church in Ornes.
